classifaily ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our API and website at classifaily.com.

By using classifaily, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we also store your Stripe customer ID and subscription identifiers - we do not store raw payment card details on our servers.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use the API, including request timestamps, endpoint paths, response status codes, token counts, and the plan tier associated with each request. This data is used to enforce rate limits, calculate billing, and improve service reliability.

Content You Submit

Text, labels, or other content you send through the classification API is processed transiently to generate a response. We do not store your classification inputs or outputs beyond what is needed for in-flight processing, logging, and abuse prevention (typically no longer than 30 days).

Technical Information

We log IP addresses, user-agent strings, and referrer headers for security monitoring and debugging. This data is stored in server logs for up to 90 days.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the classifaily API and dashboard
• Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe
• Monitor and enforce plan limits and fair-use policies
• Send transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts, plan changes)
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve our service
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you

We do not use your content submissions to train AI or machine learning models.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary:

• Stripe - payment processing and subscription management
• Cloud infrastructure - hosting, database, and logging services operating under data processing agreements

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or protect the safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months for billing reconciliation. Server-level access logs are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, hashed credential storage, and restricted database access. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable precautions.

API keys grant access to your account. Keep them secret and rotate them promptly if compromised. You can revoke keys at any time from your dashboard.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in to the dashboard. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent dashboard login.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@classifaily.com with the subject "Data Request." We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA. We honor these rights for all users regardless of location.

8. Children's Privacy

classifaily is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or a prominent notice in the dashboard.
